The Boutler Method is powerful lineage that was passed down from my mentor, Hal Boutler to me through years of private mentorship and study. Hal was a Somatic Therapist who had over 10,000 hours of one-on-one client sessions alongside hundreds of hours of group workshop, process and healing.
In his final years, I had the incredible privilege to learn from Hal, mentor with him and inherit the deep teachings he accumulated over his lifetime. In his passing, Hal requested I find ways to keep the teachings going and pass along what I learned; one on one sessions, group immersions and breathwork are some of the ways I am currently doing this. I also train facilitators, supporting those who wish to refine their existing breathwork practice or embark on the journey of sharing this transformative work with others

I often say that while I was already on my way, taking courses with Gabor Maté, offering breathwork and weekend workshops on how to rewire your nervous system, Hal was like find sand paper that came in to smooth the rough edges and also carve beautiful new pathways in my psyche and soma. I went weekly, sometimes twice a week to receive his counsel, wisdom and teachings. He taught me how to share the work with others and mentored me while I was sharing the knowledge in real time. After each workshop or retreat, I would return to him and receive greater refinement. Perhaps the greatest gift Hal gave me was that he reparented me; he held space for my greatest pain and shadow with a loving presence that mirrored to me it was possible to love myself. In the depth of safety and acceptance that he provided, my nervous system rearranged, I relaxed into a place that my body could heal without force, without pressure.
More than simply teachings, what Hal ultimately shared with me is a deep transmission. When you work with me, you feel this transmission and when you train or work with me over the long term, this transmission begins to take hold within you as well. The love, the method...is contagious.
