Online Somatic Therapy Classes
The intention of these classes is to support those who are looking too work in a somatic way and get in greater touch with their body, the felt sense and what is happening within them. These different practices are designed to aid current, previous or potential clients who would like to work with me and/or support those who feel they are internally and externally resourced enough to meet themselves in this way.
These practices are not meant to be a substitute for therapy or for working directly with a practitioner.
Gentle Neck/Throat Opening
This practice has been created to help support those who carry tension in the neck and restrictive holding patterns in the throat. We often repress and hold down feelings in the throat, we swallow them and "muscle" them down unconsciously in the neck and throat and therefore, to do this, we create holding patterns here. This practice will help you to notice and uncover how you are holding and where.
Preparing The Body For A Charge
These movements, designed by Jack Rosenberg help to prepare the body for breathwork and creating a charge within the body with the breath. The first part of this video goes into detail as to how to do each movement, if you want to simply go straight to the practice, you can begin the video at 10:40.
Guided Breathwork Session
Experience the gentle way of The Boutler Method, my mentor, Hal's way of guiding the breath for building and creating a sustainable and meetable charge in the body. Slow the breath down if the sensations become too much; the goal with this breath in particular is not to push, force or control. The body and the breath are the healers, yield to them and see what happens.
